Event: Muharram Workshop

❇️Barakah International School & College conducted a Muharram Workshop for the students of grades 3-10 on 02-07-2025.
❇️Muharram is the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar and one of the four sacred months mentioned in the Qur’an.
❇️Muslims utilise this time to enhance devotion, reflection, and seeking closeness to Allah (sw) through prayer, fasting and etc.
❇️The 10th day of Muharram, known as Ashura, holds religious significance for Muslims and is observed through fasting.
❇️Fasting on the day of Ashura is considered to have great reward, with traditions linking it to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who encouraged it as a means of expiating sins of the past year.
❇️The students participated enthusiastically and actively throughout the workshop.
❇️ The session was organized by the Islamic Department of BIS.
❇️The speakers who took the sessions were Mr. Haneef Blantoor, principal of the Islamic department, and Mr. Suhail, Arabic coordinator.
