The Barakah International School is different than many other schools in the region in multiple terms such as focus to Islamic studies along with equal focus to other academic subjects and emphasis on overall development of the child, not compromising for quality in anything. In Barakah we try our best that our students always cherish their BIS experience as memorable part of their life. Apart from academics we care to make our students good future citizens of this country and human society in general. We try to tap their core competencies and nourish it with the various school activities and with the help of our carefully selected competent teachers with motivational spirit. We also try to work closely with parents and provide multiple opportunities and orientation to them to participate actively in the training, education and development of the child. We imbibe in our students vigor and strength to be active persons of our society with varied qualities required for better survival and compete with others without compromising in higher values of life.
With advancement of technology such as Artificial intelligence and added importance to creativity and innovations modern age needs extra ordinary abilities and competencies to play a role in our society. Text books of various subjects alone may not be sufficient to deal with these needs of the hour. We try to guide our students through career guidance sessions, personality development activities and timely guidance to inculcate these competencies and elevated vision towards life.
Our curriculum and academic nonacademic activities are designed keeping in mind all these requirements discussed above. The curriculum of KG section is Montessori oriented with a blend innovative and interactive learning. Apart from usual academic subject such as English, Math and EVS Barakah gives due importance to other aspects of learning such as emotional intelligence, physical fitness, passion towards reading and continued knowledge enhancement, spirit of creativity and innovation, confidence to develop I can do attitude ..Etc. The widely acclaimed Xseed curriculum based on the multiple intelligence theory is implemented to empower students of Grades 1-5. CBSE curriculum is followed From Grade 6 onwards with Smart technology. Being an International school, we also teach them Arabic language, Quran and Islamic studies and teach them how to use modern technology for learning and development. We also have an entire department dedicated for memorizing the Glorious Quran with proper tajweed (phonetics of proper recitation) which enhances the mental abilities and retention capabilities which is helpful for better performance in all subjects.
We also focus on following 4 important aspect of learning which in necessary to handle real life situations and survive in the international arena.
