🐝Barakah International School organised an educational expedition to Coastal Honey Bee Farm on November 28, 2024, for the students of grades 6 to 8.
🐝This educational trip aimed to deepen their understanding of the fascinating world of bees and the vital role they play in our ecosystem.
🐝The students were greeted by knowledgeable staff members who provided an engaging theoretical overview of beekeeping. Using visual aids, they explained the different types of honey bees, their production locations, and how the cost of honey varies based on quality.
🐝 They informed the students about the behaviour of honey bees, including how long they may chase perceived threats and how to protect oneself from bee attacks. Important safety precautions were shared, along with first aid measures for bee stings.
🐝The visit to Coastal Honey Bee Farm was not only educational but also an unforgettable experience for the students of BIS, as they returned with a wealth of knowledge about bees, their ecological importance, and the art of honey production.
