BIS Annual Awards 2016-17

The most enthusiastically awaited ‘BIS Awards2016 - 2017’ of Barakah International School was celebrated on Saturday, 18th February, 2017 in the Auditorium of BIS, Mangalore with variety of events from each class. The programme took off with Qiraath recitation by Mohammed Wahab Ekkeri of 5A and Faheem Abubakker of 4 A. Fabi Ayman of class 4 A welcomed the esteemed guests and gathering while Mr. Saleh introduced the chief guest and the honourable Chairman. Mohammed Shaheem and Mohammed Hishaam of 5 Aescorted the dignitaries to the dais. The guest of honour were Dr. C. P. Habeeb Rehman, Chairman and medical director of Unity Health Complex, Dr.AbdulSharief, Principal of P.A. College of Engineering Mangalore and Mr. Abdul Hameed founder of Izzathul Islam expressed their great elation for having visited BIS and appraised the gathering. The seer urged parents to inculcate values among children. The honourable Chairman of BIS addressed the gathering. He quoted “Do not build wealth for your children; children themselves are your wealth.” This was followed by the awards ceremony where the Guests of honour gave away the prizes to the winners of various competitions. BIS presented the school activities in a form of a video. Imaad Irfan and Abdul Khader Suhan of class 2 A and Marium Taiba and FidaFalaq of class 1 B executed the beauty of Quraanic recitation and memorization. More than 180 students, dressed in colourful attires, to deliver their performance under the insightful direction of the teachers. Students from class 1 A performed an action song “Bismillah.” Hisham of class 5 A delivered a speech in Arabic Language. Students from class 1 B performed an action song on “Mothers” which touched every heart and filled everyone present with a sense of respect and love for their mothers. The ceremony witnessed a colourful array of action songs like Subhan Allah from grade 2, Shukran Ya Rabb by girls of 3, 4 and 5. The students of 5 B presented a Hindi skit that sculpted morals, value system and rich legacy of Islamic practices. The highlight of the day was Kannada skit which concentrated on respect and importance of parents in our lives. Shareen of class 4 B gave a speech in Kannada and Alia Hazara delivered a speech in English. “The last Breath” act and the Karate performance stole the show. The performances were presented by the boys of our school received a huge applause. The academically meritorious pupils of the school both in secular and Islamic curriculum, students who got 100% attendance and the outstanding students of the year were felicitated with a trophy and a certificate by the honourable chairman of the school. Colourful programmes and award ceremony marked the 1st BIS Awards of Barakah International School. Miss Hiba proposed the vote of thanks. The programme culminated with the National Anthem and Dua.
