Barakah International School inaugurated its Prefects council for the year 2017-18 on 18th July 2017 for the boys and 19th July 2017 for the girls.
The school cabinet is a very integral part of the school and comprises of a well-knit team of students from class 5, 6 and 7 chosen by the Principal and the teachers. Each year the prefects are sworn in an elaborate investiture ceremony. Each prefectís term lasts for a year, after which the next team takes over.
The cabinet is responsible for the maintenance of discipline in the school. They also shoulder the responsibility of organizing all cultural programs and competitions held in the school. Being student representatives, the council acts as an important link between the students and the school management.
The prefect consists of the Head Girl, Four Prefects who head the four school houses- Shamaal, Sharq, Gharb, Janoob, Sportís Captain, Discipline Minister, Sanitation Minister, and Arts Minister. They are assisted by a council of Vice Prefects.
Sashes were distributed by the Principal of our school to the members of Prefects Council. They pledged to respect and lead the team with pride and honour. Principal shared thoughts on how to maintain discipline and coordinate with the fellow mates to work for the betterment of the school. The teachers in Charge were also felicitated by the honouring them with the badges. She encouraged the students to follow the leaders to get honour to their houses and school.
Mohammed Shayan and Mohammed Aman were felicitated for their exemplary achievement in the 14th INTERNATIONAL OKINAWA GOJU RYU KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2017 held in Malaysia by handing over their certificates and medals.
