Independence Day Celebration 2017

Barakah International School, celebrated 71st Independence Day with passion and excitement. The entire school was decorated with colours of the Indian flag. It was heartening to see the students apply themselves with as much zeal and zest to the Independence Day celebrations. The corridors were decorated with various works of art done by the students. The guests of honour for the day were Mr. Muddu Moodu Belle- The director of Narayana Guru Adhyana Peetha of Mangalore University, Unnhi Beary- Trustee of Barakah International School and KP Abdul Khader. The programme began with the prayers followed by the Welcome speech. The Guests of honour hoisted the national flag along with the dignitaries who were escorted by the Prefects Council. The students actively participated in Patriotic Singing, Hindi Speech and Mass Drill which revealed their enthusiasm. Tiny tots of the KG classes gave speeches on the importance of Independence Day and spoke about the reminisced freedom fighters. The highlight of the programme was the Mass drill which was done using dumbbells and Hoola Hoops. The celebration ended with the distribution of refreshments to all the students.
