Anti-Tobacco Poster Making Competition

Easy availability of tobacco and lack of social sanction has made tobacco a problem of epidemic proportions amongst children and the adults. To create awareness among the youth of India about the benefits of healthy lifestyle, an “Anti-Tobacco Poster Making Competition” was conducted on Monday, 24th July 2017. The objective of the competition was to reduce the consumption of tobacco in any form and to spread the knowledge they received while making the posters. Our main aim was to educate the students about the harmful effects of the use of tobacco as well as smoking cigarettes. The activity was conducted for the students of classes 4 -7 during their Social Science period. The time allotted for the students was 40min. The students enthusiastically took part in the competition. They gained the knowledge on how to lead a healthy life and also learned how to educate their near and dear ones about the harmful effects of tobacco.
